Concert series: JazzAdvent 2015 & 2016

openSky brought jazz into the Christmas season: JazzAdvent was an atmospheric concert format on pre-Christmas evenings.

With JazzAdvent, openSky e.V. created a special concert format for the Christmas season. In 2015 and 2016, advent jazz concerts took place on one Sunday in December at selected venues.

The programme offered a warm, atmospheric mix of jazz standards, original compositions and festive spirit – the ideal counterpart to the busy pre-Christmas season.

The series was warmly received by audiences and showed that jazz in Wuppertal has its place in every season.
