From the Westdeutsche Zeitung to the Rundschau – the response to the Jazzmeeting and the sessions.
The Jazzmeeting and the weekly sessions regularly meet with a strong, positive echo in the press.
As early as 2015 the Westdeutsche Zeitung wrote under the headline ‘Two years for jazz in the valley’ about the founding of openSky and praised the makers’ commitment. The Wuppertaler Rundschau also dedicates detailed previews to the Jazzmeeting every year: ‘One week, eight venues, 15 bands’.
Reviews of highlights such as the jubilee session in the Riedel halls or the ‘Clarinet Summit’ show that Wuppertal’s jazz scene is more alive than ever.
