The poster tradition: Cult artworks by Jorgo
The posters for the Wuppertal Jazzmeeting are a cult tradition. Each year they are designed by the artist Jorgo.
Since 2013 openSky e.V. has not only been the organiser of the Wuppertal Jazzmeeting but also nurtures a very special tradition: the festival posters.
The posters from 2007 to 2017 were designed by well-known Wuppertal artist Jorgo and have real collector’s value – far beyond the music scene.
With their expressive motifs and unmistakable handwriting they reflect the creative openness of the association: music is an open sky.
